## How to play

1. Groups of three or four: one keeper and two or three players. Each group has a 15 by 15 metre square with a 2 metre goal of two cones in the middle. A goal counts from either side: there is no front or back.
2. The keeper starts every move by throwing the ball anywhere into the square. Everyone plays for themselves against all the others.
3. Whoever scores takes a point and goes in goal, and the keeper joins the game. When the keeper catches the ball or it leaves the square, the keeper throws it back in.
4. No referee: players call their own fouls, as they do on the street. Play blocks of 4 minutes with every group at once; most points wins, then mix the groups.

## The decision it trains

The player on the ball is alone against everyone else and a keeper. Beat the nearest rival, shield and wait for a gap, or shoot early before the others close in? Because the goal counts from both sides, he also picks which face to attack, ideally the one the keeper has his back to. Without the ball, players choose between hunting it and hanging off the crowd where a save or a loose ball will land. Scoring puts you in goal, so the winners learn to read shooters too.

## Make it harder or easier

- **Too hard:** a bigger square (20 by 20 metres) and a 3 metre goal, so there is time and space to beat a rival.
- **Too easy:** a smaller square (12 by 12 metres) and a 1.5 metre goal: more traffic, faster decisions.
- **Younger players:** groups of three (two players and a keeper), a goal at least 2 metres wide, and children of a similar level in the same group.

## What to ask at the breaks

- "Which side of the goal did you attack, and why that side?"
- "When two players came at you, what could you do?"
- "When you were in goal, what did you notice about how people shoot?"

## Where it comes from

No origin is documented: it is a street game in many places. Italy calls it tutti contro tutti, and the FIGC includes it in the street football section of its grassroots exercises. In Brazil it is cada um por si: Alcides Scaglia watched three boys play it, going in goal after two goals and calling their own fouls. Argentina has el gol entra, also mete-gol-entra, and England three-and-in, where three goals send you in goal. How many goals put you in goal is what differs.
