Guide
Phone and desktop apps
Hobbit on iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows, with push notifications, in sync with the web version.
Hobbit works in full in any browser, on a phone or a computer. What the apps add is push notifications, native sharing, and a place on your desk and home screen. The download page is behind the download icon in the top right corner, or at hobbit.football/download.
iPhone and iPad
Search for Hobbit AI on the App Store; it is available in 174 countries and regions.
It is not yet on the mainland China App Store, which needs an Apple account from another region. The web version is identical and needs no download.
Inside the app you can subscribe to Hobbit Pro through the App Store.
Android
Download the APK and install it directly; Google Play is coming. The first install asks you to allow apps from unknown sources in a system prompt.
Mac and Windows
Direct installs, no store. The Mac build is signed and notarised by Apple and opens with a double click; it needs Apple silicon. On Windows, if SmartScreen appears, choose "More info", then "Run anyway". The desktop app tells you when a new version is out and updates itself from then on.
What the apps add
- Training reminders: a push before training starts; a notice when a parent signs up through a form; a reminder when attendance has not been taken. Switch them under "Notification preferences" behind the bell in the top right corner.
- Made for the sideline: open the session plan on the pitch, take attendance between blocks, share a drill diagram straight to the team group.
- The same account: sign in with the account you have; teams, sessions, diagrams and chats are all there, in real time with the web version.
Microphone
Voice debriefs and voice input need microphone permission. The first use shows the system prompt; if you declined, allow Hobbit in the system settings.
