Coach workspace
The core of Hobbit, one training or match on one screen: bind a session and generate the preview before, take attendance during, speak a one-minute debrief after, and the parent recap and next focus come out by themselves.
A youth coach's week is one loop, repeated: plan the session, run it, review it, tell the parents, plan the next one. Every feature in Hobbit is one step of that loop, and the coach workspace lays them out in the order of the day, on one screen.
It is the first item in the sidebar: Workspace.
What a training day looks like here
Along the top is the week strip. Tap a training or a match on a day, and below it are that event's three columns: before, during and after (for a match: pre-match, match, post-match). "Now" marks the column that is due.

Every event on the week strip carries a row of status dots: session (lineup for a match), preview, attendance (result for a match), debrief, recap. Green is done, grey is not. One glance at the week tells you what each session still owes.
The schedule itself is managed on the calendar; the workspace walks you through it, and "Calendar settings" at the top right of the strip takes you there.
Before
Bind a session: choose a plan from Saved sessions and it attaches to the day. If none fits, generate one in Session design first; a fresh plan attaches itself. For a match this slot is the starting lineup.
Last debrief: the summary of the previous training's debrief sits in this column, so planning continues from last time's problem. If the last session was never debriefed, it says so.
Parent preview (Pro): press "Generate training preview" and Hobbit reads this plan, the team philosophy and recent training, and writes a page parents open without an account: what will be trained, what matters, how to behave on the sideline, what to talk about on the way home. For a match it is the pre-match preview. See Previews and recaps.
The venue has a map: this session's ground shows on a small map, and a ground that has never been pinned asks you to pin it.
During
Attendance: present, late, excused, absent, the same board the calendar opens, with session credits worked out automatically. See Attendance and matches.
Notes: a quick line such as "Sam asked for the ball for the first time today", kept on this training and there when you debrief.
For a match this is the result and each player's appearance.
After
Voice debrief: after the session ends (recording stays locked until then), talk to your phone for a minute about how it went. Hobbit shapes it into four parts, overall, highlights, to improve, next focus; change a line or two and save. See Voice debrief.
Parent recap (Pro): once the debrief is saved the recap page exists, ready to send to the parents' group. It sits with the preview on the public page's event page.
Next focus: what the next training should work on. It comes from this debrief; without one, the team brain composes it from the team's recent debriefs and matches. The next training's "Before" carries the last debrief, so planning starts there.
Why learn the workspace first
Because it decides whether Hobbit is worth it. Generating a session is impressive once; what makes Hobbit understand your team better and better is the minute you spend debriefing after each session: it feeds the team brain, becomes memory, and shapes the next plan and the next preview. The workspace puts that minute where your hand already is.
The demo schedule
An account with no training scheduled yet sees three demo teams' schedules first, and every editor is a sandbox. Put your first training on the calendar and it switches to yours.
Allowance
The workspace is included in the free plan: binding a session, attendance, results and notes cost nothing, and the voice debrief has three trial uses. On the free plan the "preview" dot carries a lock. A lapsed account meets a renewal prompt when it opens the workspace.
