Public team page
The team's front door for parents, no account needed: schedule, previews, recaps, players, honours. Share the link once and it stays current.
Every team has a public page at hobbit.football/team/your-address. The address you chose when creating the team never changes.
The link is under "Public team page" at the top right of the team page. Send it to the parents' group once; it keeps itself current.
What parents see
- About the team: introduction, philosophy and culture, kit, honours, all from what you wrote in the team brain.
- Coach: your nickname, avatar and contact details.
- Training ground: from the venue records on calendar events, with the city and a map.
- Statistics: team age, sessions per week, players, total sessions, attendance rate, total matches.
- Schedule: upcoming and past, plus a mini calendar. Personal and rest events are not shown.
- A page per event: the training or pre-match preview, the post-session or post-match recap, and a short sideline note for parents (no shouting instructions, no criticising mistakes, no comparing with other children).
- Players: the roster, with the portraits from the team photographer.
Parents need no account
The public page, the event pages and the sign-up forms open from a link. There is no parent login, no parent chat and no RSVP. Hobbit's parent communication runs one way: you publish, they read.
When it updates
What you do in Hobbit shows on the public page by itself: add a training and it is on the schedule; generate a preview and the event page has it; record a debrief and generate a recap and the event page has that too. There is no separate publish step.
When the subscription lapses
After the team's subscription lapses, a banner at the top of the public page says the subscription has expired and updates are paused. Renewing clears it.
Allowance
The public page comes with the team, free; the free plan's one team has it too.
