Chatting with Hobbit
Ask coaching questions any time, attach images and files, search the web, and let it change your calendar or take attendance for you.
Chat is Hobbit's front door. The box on the home page and Chats in the sidebar are the same thing; every conversation is kept in the "Chats" list, so you can pick up where you left off.
What to ask
Any coaching question. "How do I train first touch at U8", "a child won't ask for the ball in matches, what do I do", "look at this session plan". Hobbit answers the DGC way: it looks at the design first and does not pin the problem on the child.
Name a team in the question and it reads that team's profile before answering. "Plan a Wednesday passing session for the Eagles U10": it knows how many Eagles there are, what your philosophy is, and what you trained last week.
The three buttons in the box
- Upload an image or file: a photo of the drill on the whiteboard, a PDF session plan, a match screenshot. Hobbit reads them. Each message has a limit on file count and size; it tells you when you go over.
- Web search: when on, Hobbit searches before it answers. Use it for questions it needs to check, such as this season's format rules or how a professional club trains something. The search shows above the answer.
- Voice input (Pro): hold to talk, and it transcribes before sending. The first use asks for microphone permission.
What it can do for you
Hobbit reads your data and can change it. When it reads, the answer shows what it looked at, such as "Calendar · 3 events". When it changes something, it shows a confirmation card first and nothing happens until you press "Confirm".

Session plans and drill diagrams start here as well. Say "plan Wednesday's training" and it shows a confirmation form for age group, player count, pitch, duration and session standard before it generates. See Session design.
Under each answer
Every answer can be bookmarked (Pro) and found again on the Bookmarks page by topic. An answer with a diagram has "Save drill diagram" for the drill library. A generated session has "Save" for the session library.
When a chat gets too long
When a conversation exceeds what it can process, Hobbit asks you to start a new one. The team brain does not depend on chat history, so the new chat knows your team just as well.
Allowance
The free plan has 5 chat turns a month, on a rolling 30 days. Pro is unlimited.
